Youth Faith Formation Program | Print |

Grade 1 through Grade 5
Children who are in Grade 1 through 5 are able to participate in faith formation classes that meet for one hour, one day per week.  The program includes sharing Bible stories, daily prayer, learning Catholic social teaching, reviewing our sacramental life, bringing the Word of God to others through our good works and deeds.  Classroom time may include crafts, interactive activities and service projects that relate to the daily themes.  Classes begin at the end of September and continue through the middle of May.  Parents and grandparents are encouraged to attend special sessions of prayer and faith education scheduled throughout the year.

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
This program is for children in their second grade year.  Classroom catechesis is designed to prepare the child for reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.  Through sharing of Old Testament bible stories, an understanding of the Ten Commandments, and the teachings of Jesus, children gain an understanding of the importance and beauty of these Sacraments.  Classroom time may include role plays, interactive activities and crafts.  Parent and children retreats are included to support the faith formation of the family.

Special Education
Parents of children with special needs are encouraged to contact the Faith Formation office.  The Sacraments are welcome to all.
