TEEN CONFIRMATION Faith life grows and is strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation. Teens who are sophomores in high school and who will have attained the age of 15 at the time of Confirmation may participate in the Teen Confirmation program. Teens have the opportunity to learn and grow in their faith and in their community. This is accomplished through participation in at least 12 youth group sessions, attending a monthly Confirmation preparation meeting, participating in the Sunday Liturgy on a regular basis, completing a community service requirement and attending one St. Bonaventure Confirmation retreat. TEEN COMMUNITY OUTREACH There will be monthly opportunities for teens (and parent chaperones) to experience the joy in serving others. We will spend a Sunday working at various agencies serving the less fortunate. These experiences will provide powerful life lessons in Catholic social teaching to help all to realize how blessed we are, how thankful we should be and how important it is to share what we have with others. TEEN RETREATS AND CONFERENCES Teens have numerous opportunities to participate in weekend retreats, conferences (such as LA Youth Day and National Catholic Youth Conference), one day event enrichment events and rallies. |
