Provides Christmas gifts to community members in need. Volunteers work directly with representatives of local parishes and community service organizations to review gift requests and compile gift lists; prepare paper gift ornaments, set-up Giving Tree display, help sort gifts on Sort Night (the first Sunday in December); keep track of late gifts as they are returned to the church; purchase and wrap last minute gifts using cash donations from Giving Tree Ministry. Volunteers make one delivery of sorted gifts to the parish or organization about two weeks before Christmas. This ministry offers opportunities for different levels of time commitment. Advent event.
